The Job

As Senior Human Resources Manager you lead our HR department to ensure the best possible workplace for our staff. This includes employment lifecycle, benefits design, training, compensation plans, policy development, etc. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining our company's full HR strategy. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with HR technology, including payroll systems and Applicant Tracking Systems as well as have experience with personal benefit and compensation packages. Ultimately, all to ensure our company attracts, hires, develops and retains qualified employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure legal compliance with all state and federal human resource related statutes
  • Manage the candidate recruitment and selection process by leveraging internal and external recruitment resources as needed
  • Develop, communicate, and train on internal HR policies and procedures. This includes workplace behavior, management, coaching, discipline, performance management, etc.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of current employees
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Develop and monitor HR policies, strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage the performance appraisal system
  • Develop and maintain benefits program. This includes researching new programs and making sure the current ones are still appropriate.
  • Oversee employee learning, training and development resources and schedules
  • Report to upper management and provide decision support through HR metrics, data and analytics
  • Work with upper management to design and develop appropriate initiatives needed to have a first-class workplace

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience as HR manager with companies 30-100 employees in size.
  • Experience with related industries
  • Experience with multi-state employees
  • Experience with ADP and other contemporary HRIS systems
  • Experience with benefits negotiations
  • Experience in (ADR) Alternative Dispute Resolutions, EEOC
  • Experience with compensation analysis
  • Create and roll out HR programs
  • Ability to multitask and pivot on multiple key projects

Education

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related discipline and a minimum of nine (9) years of progressive experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SCP/CP (SHRM) or PHR/SPHR (HRCI) Certification preferred.
  • AIHR preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • Background working with heavy equipment companies or a distributor/ dealership
  • Previous experience growing an HR department
  • Prior experience managing a technology-based performance review system such as ADP Workforce Now, or a similar program
